Peanut Butter Apple Cider

If the title has you skeptical, just stick with me and keep scrolling because there is warm, sweet sipping ahead.

I’m mish-mashing some beloved flavors together with this winter drink-in-a-jar. I love apple cider and all the wonderful spices that come with it with. And I love apples + peanut butter in almost anything. So my unconventional recipe imagination said “Hey, why not throw it all together?” And I’m so glad I listened.

Warm, fruity, nutty, mmmmmm…..

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 cups organic apple juice
  • 34 tbsps powdered peanut butter (see notes)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • A small pinch each of cloves (these spices are potent, so you don’t need much, nutmeg, and allspice)
  • Optional: 1 tbsp maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)

Instructions

  1. Warm up the apple juice on the stove or in the microwave.
  2. Blend everything together.
  3. Taste, and add the optional sweetener if desired.
  4. Pour into a jar or mug, top with chopped peanuts and cinnamon, and sip!

Notes

You can use regular peanut butter, but it will make for a much thicker consistency.
